What are we about here at Emmanuel?

People who visit with us on Sunday mornings often ask this question. The answer to that question can be very simple and straight forward or it can be addressed with a great deal of information about committees, activities, programs and history.

Let’s choose the more direct answer, the one that takes the least time to explain, but cuts to the heart of the matter. The members of Emmanuel believe that God is on a mission here in Pottstown to spread the good news of His Resurrection. This is God’s mission and God’s mission has a church to accomplish the goal. We are God’s plan.

The business of the church is to share God’s love with all those who we meet both inside and outside the church building. We gather for worship, learning and fellowship to share our individual faith journeys.
